UPDATE: John, 17, identified as driver killed in Vilas County crash
VILAS COUNTY - One person died after their vehicle hit a tree in Vilas County Tuesday night.

On Thursday, the Vilas County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Michael John of Eagle River.

John was going south on State Highway 155 in the township of St. Germain when the vehicle crossed the center line, went into the ditch, and struck a tree near the intersection at West Lost Lake Drive.
No one else was in the vehicle.
