Forth Floral celebrates 117 years this week
RHINELANDER - Family businesses can be hard to find these days, especially ones that are more than 100 years old. But Forth Floral in Rhinelander celebrates 117 years of business this week.

Ruth Hempel is the great-granddaughter of the original owners. The business has been passed down to the daughters through the generations.

Sometimes when Ruth works on arrangements, her mother can recall working with flowers for that person's grandparents.

Ruth says sharing that kind of history with customers is an honor.

"Those high points and low points--we're there to smooth things out or help celebrate. People can remember that kind of thing," says Ruth.
