"PiYo" mixes Pilates and yoga-style fitness to encourage weight loss, stress reduction
TOMAHAWK - Balancing health and wellness can get a bit challenging sometimes.

That's why one Tomahawk PiYo instructor and health coach wants to help get people back on track.

Nicole Hanse leads PiYo classes at Fit Factory in Tomahawk.

PiYo takes the mindset and poses of yoga, and combines it with the squats, lunges, and core strength of Pilates.

A typical session is an hour long packed with movements to the beat of music.

Those movements can be modified to fit any age group's ability.

"If you fall over-- I've done it, and I am teaching! It's okay! We're not perfect, but at least we are trying," says Nicole.

Nicole says PiYo can help you reduce stress, tone your body, and lose weight.

She's always accepting new PiYo students.
