MINOCQUA - Some will celebrate Mardi Gras tomorrow, but Minocqua Brewing Company will start the party on Wednesday.
The Mardi Gras Valentine's Day Wine Dinner will feature Creole food native to Louisiana.
You won't find a classic date night meal like steak and lobster.
People will be able to try dishes such as jambalaya, gumbo, and etouffee.
"A lot of us are older. We kind of can get stuck in a rut. This is a new way to be romantic and make it fun and festive!" says owner Kirk Bangstad.
Minocqua Brewing Company showcases a different type of cuisine every month.
That approach allows the chefs to "flex their muscles" and be more creative.
"I've been married to my wife for almost 10 years now, so I wouldn't want to go out for steak and lobster for the 10th time. It's definitely a cool spin to do," says executive chef Scott Conley.
Tickets are still available. Click below for more info.
