Tomahawk teen arrested after Friday afternoon stabbing
TOMAHAWK - Tomahawk police arrested a 17-year-old after a stabbing late Friday afternoon.

Francine Reinke of Tomahawk could face a number of charges for the incident, which happened on W. Lincoln Avenue.

Police responded to reports of a fight around 4:45 p.m.  Officers found the victim was stabbed several times in the leg and forearm with a kitchen knife.  The victim was treated on scene.  Police believe the victim and Reinke had been in a relationship in the past.

Police say Reinke kicked the officer as he tried to arrest her. Police referred charges of second-degree attempted homicide, substantial battery, battery to a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer, and recklessly endangering safety to the Lincoln County District Attorney's Office.

Tomahawk Police Chief Al Elvins said his department is still investigating the stabbing. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 715-453-2121.
