SUGAR CAMP - Stacey Klein is an employee of St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.
She works in the occupational therapy department where she helps patients recover from serious health problems.
"I help them re-learn how to get dressed and [get back to] their daily activities," said Klein.
Friday, she took the day off, but didn't take the day off from helping others.
"This is like my favorite day of the year," Klein said.
As the president of the Student Community Organization (a parent fundraising group), Klein teamed up with Sugar Camp Elementary School to hold their annual Santa Workshops and Sleigh Ride day.
This is her 10th year participating in the event where she got to wrap presents. As for the kids, they got to go on sleigh rides with Santa and shop for family Christmas presents paid for by Klein's group.
"They are so proud of the gifts that they pick out," said Klein.
Matthew Klein said he had a handful of people he's shopping for.
"My brother, my sister, and all my grandma and grandpas," he said.
This is a special day for him, too. Not only because he got to pick out presents, but because he could pick them out with his mother, Stacey.
"If I don't know what to give one person, she can help me," he said.
While he shopped and she wrapped, they had a special chance to bond over their love for others and each other.
