Packers Tailgate Tour makes final stop in Antigo
ANTIGO - The 2019 Packer Tailgate tour made its final stop in Antigo Saturday

Six former players and C-E-O Mark Murphy helped raise money to benefit the Habitat for Humanity of Langlade County.

"We've been getting in some laughs, shared some hugs and shed some tears," said former Packers linebacker Nick Barnett.

Barnett says it was one of the best weeks of his life.

"I would do this every single year if I was able to," Barnett said.

From meetings fans, to signing autographs and turning on the charm for the 2019 Green Bay Packers tailgate tour.

"I've been here a long time a long time, I've lived here eleven years and you grow fans and family," Barnett said.

Those fans rallied together at a tailgate party to raise money for the Habitat for Humanity of Langlade County.

The tour also made former wide receiver Ryan Grant realize Packers fans come in all ages.

"You know any chance you get to be around kids it energizes you," Grant said. "I like being wiser and elderly
because they always give a phenomenal perspective on everything they've been through."

One of those is Vietnam Veteran Gordan Esselmann who has been a Packers fan for sixty years.

"I'm very excited this is the first time I've ever been close to the Packers," Esselmann said.

His heroes thanked him for HIS service and Esselmann couldn't have been more thankful.

"I am ecstatic; they are the best team there is.(sic)"

The players said the tailgate tour was another reminder of the great place they came from.

"This is a one of kind place, it's one of a kind team, it's different than any other team in the NFL. "This is Packers territory," Barnett said.
