Wisconsin Valley Coin Club Show hits Wausau
WAUSAU - Coin enthusiasts gathered in Wausau Saturday for the annual Wisconsin Valley Coin Club Show. Fifty tables were set up for people to buy, sell, or just look.

Thad Streeter has been organizing the event for the past 25 years.

"My brother gave me a book when I was in third grade that had coins in it," said Streeter. "It piqued my interest and I've been a collector ever since."

Kids were able to sort through old pennies and foreign coins.

Ed Flanders is the secretary of the Wisconsin Valley Coin Club. He's been collecting since 2001 when he inherited his Dad's collection.

"He had pennies and dimes and quarters," said Flanders. "Of course he didn't have any of the expensive ones I had to fill in those holes."

Besides coins, there were also tokens and stock certificates. One dealer even collects Chuck E. Cheese tokens.
