UPDATE: Vilas Co. Sheriff identifies victim in weekend crash as Sayner man
ST. GERMAIN - UPDATE: A Sayner man died in a crash in Vilas County over the weekend.

The Vilas County Sheriff's Office reported Scott Weber, 49, crashed his car into a tree north of St. Germain early Sunday morning.  Crews were called to the scene at Highway 155 and 16 Road around 1:15 a.m.

The investigation shows Weber was driving north when his car crossed the center line, went into the ditch, and hit a tree.  Sheriff Joe Fath told Newswatch 12 Weber died at the scene.  He was wearing a seat belt.

No one else was in the car.

St. Germain Fire and Ambulance, Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC), and the Vilas County Medical Examiner's Office helped the VCSO with the crash.
