MILWAUKEE - George Flores takes pride in his restaurant's Greek food and it's never more important to get right than when Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo stops in for a late night meal.
"His favorite plate is lamb chops and Greek salad and Saganaki," Flores said.
Customers can find all those items and more at Omega Restaurant on the South Side of Milwaukee.
Giannis first started coming to the restaurant in his rookie year, and as he became more famous, people definitely started to take notice.
"He's really a special customer when he walks in," Flores said. "All of these people come in and say 'oh my god he's a megastar.' All of us are excited."
Most people probably can't relate to Giannis' lifestyle or athletic prowess, but the regulars at Omega know exactly how the Bucks star feels when he comes to the restaurant.
"The food is great, it's a family atmosphere," Omega regular Robert Randolph said. "I think that the waitstaff is some of the best in the city of Milwaukee, so it has earned our business."
When it comes to the restaurant's most famous client, Flores says it's not just about earning his business.
It's about giving him a taste of the old country.
"You know, he feels like he's home when he comes in here," Flores said. "We have everything that he has in Greece, so we have the same here."
With the Bucks surging toward the NBA Finals, Milwaukee is rallying behind the team with more enthusiasm than ever before.
"I've never seen it like this," Randolph said. "I've never seen the type of excitement, the type of exuberance. We've never had celebrities come in from out of town."
For Flores and the rest of the staff at Omega, a visit from the biggest celebrity in town is always a possibility.
"It makes us feel good," Flores said.
