Racing returns to TNT Speedway in Three Lakes
THREE LAKES - Sprint car racing returned to TNT Speedway in Three Lakes Saturday night.

The track owners were a little more excited than usual, given what happened at the speedway's last race.

TNT had to cancel that race, which was held two weeks ago, when the water pump motor on their
maintenance truck blew up. That meant they couldn't keep the track free of dust, which made visibility poor enough to call off the race.

Track employee Tricia Rott said her husband Toby did everything he could to get things back in working order.

"There was a problem with the water pump on the truck," Rott said. "He had used it all week and it was working great. He had the track in great condition, but at the end of the night the pump broke and he couldn't keep the track watered."

Thankfully, the new water pump worked fine for Saturday night's race.

The next race at TNT Speedway will be on September 1.
