Man convicted in fatal beating gets 6 years
MADISON - A man convicted of holding down a 24-year-old Dane County man when an accomplice beat him faces 6 years in prison.

Drew Luber pleaded guilty to felony murder in the death of Dalton Ziegler.

The beating happened after Ziegler's girlfriend told Luber and the accomplice that Ziegler had abused her, which she later claimed was not true.

The Dane County Circuit Judge acknowledged that Luber was less guilty in Ziegler's death than the accomplice.

The judge agreed that without Luber holding Ziegler down, Ziegler would have been able to defend himself.
