Phillips adds Splash Pad to downtown park
PHILLIPS - Workers are almost done adding cement to the new splash pad in Elk Lake park. A splash pad has fixtures that shoot out water.

Courtney Janak joined the Splash Pad committee after she got pregnant.

"I was going to have a family in my future and so I wanted to have the splash pad in the community to be there for my family and other families too."

Janak added the project shows that there are a lot of talented people in Phillips.

"To see that our community was able to start the project and work to completion is really cool coming from a small town," said Janak.

The Splash Pad Committee raised $190,000 dollars for the project. There will be a grand opening ceremony next Tuesday at 5:30.
