Lakeland Union school district to consider $3.45 million referendum
MINCOQUA -
Residents in the Lakeland Union school district will be asked to vote on a $3.45 million funding request Feb. 18.

The funds will exceed the districts revenue limit to cover operating costs, improve student educational needs and facility maintenance per a media release.

The release goes on to say the district is considering the referendum because state imposed funding formulas "have not kept pace with the actual cost of education."

The Lakeland Union school district is the home of Lakeland Union High School and Lakeland Star Academy.

More information on the referendum is available on the district website.

Questions and comments about the referendum can be directed to District Administrator Robert Way.
